Last year there was an analysis carried out to look at the tree canopy benefits of Balloch Castle Country Park in terms of carbon dioxide, air pollution and storm water impacts.
You can view a copy of the Cover Assessment and Tree Benefits Report, which shows how amazing Balloch Park really is.

The report starts off by comparing different types of land cover in the Park, of which Trees/Shrubs makes up 60%, double the area covered by grass. The Tree Benefit for carbon estimates that there is roughly 4,518.72 T of carbon stored in the trees in the Park which has a value of around £1,037,126!
